My name is Sofia Schiavon. I'm in the Fashion Styling & Creative Direction bachelor's course at Istituto Marangoni Milano.

Fashion has the ability to tell the most complex and abstract of stories, ideas, and feelings, and I think of fashion styling as an avenue to express them tangible form. To me, the core of fashion styling is understanding someone's essence, values, and creative vision so as to translate it into a visible and perceivable form (such as a photoshoot or curated look).

My fashion styling is unique because I place the root of my work in the individual(s) who came up with the creative concept, rather just creative concept itself. I believe that by connecting with and understanding the core of a creative personality who has a concept in their head, you can bring it to life in a much deeper and meaningful way that reflects their vision to the fullest.
